Stopflow Occlusion Catheter

The Stopflow Occlusion Catheter* is a three-lumen balloon catheter specifically developed for use in both the arterial and venous vasculature and may be used in performing regional chemotherapy, thereby enabling targeted delivery of a therapeutic agent(s) directly to an organ or specific area of the body, which is isolated by means of balloon occlusion.

*The Stopflow Occlusion Catheter is an investigational product, it is intended solely for investigational research use at this time.

How it Works

Regional chemotherapy is the delivery of chemotherapy to one region of the body or one organ. The chemotherapeutic agent is administered via the artery supplying the tumour or tumour region and thereby achieves delivery of a much higher concentration of the cytostatic agents. The Stopflow Occlusion Catheter may be used in combination with a hemofiltration system, thereby reducing systemic side effects.
